Is Diatomaceous Earth safe for coturnix quail??

    Can I use DE in my dust baths and on my dropping pans? Thanks

    DE is usually always used when quails get mites...so yea its safe(as i've been told i am no expert)

    Make sure you have plenty of ventilation because DE can cause respiratory issues.

    Yes it is I just gave my quail a box with sand and DE and it was in a little box and there were six in there... Six! They love it but you must use food grade.

    I have used it on my yard for fleas and other bugs too. It works wonders for so many different things.[​IMG]

    Are you talking about food grade or the stuff I see at the home Depot with poison in it?

    Im not trying to be mean but think about it, POISON. or FOOD grade. and sorry I was on a little 2X3 phone those are letters are harder to hit [​IMG]
