Is duckweed good for my chickens?

    I read somewhere that duckweed is good for chickens. I don't have any ducks, but I have duckweed on a pond that would be easy to harvest.

    Chicken Tractor says it is. Not sure if that's true. Still, it wouldn't hurt to try!

    Duckweed is completely edible including by humans. I was using it in my planted no filter fish tanks and when it got too dense I scooped it out and fed it to the guinea pigs. Good forage. It would be great for chickens and pond duckweed probably also contains little bugs and critters that would provide protein.
