Is handling of chicks regularly reduce their growth ?

    my grand parents and friends told me that handling of chicks can dramatically reduce their growth rate and they will not grow much is this true?

    I don't think so, although a lot of handling during their first few days may be too much of a shock for them. I would lay my hand in the brooder and let them investigate it to get them used to you. Chasing them down is stressful, surely.

    I agree with Flockwatcher 100%.

    Handling doesn't slow down growth... but you shouldn't handle them too much. I can cause a lot of stress.
