Oh...say it isn't so! This Ameraucana chick is 8 weeks old. I see no sign of spurs.

It's a pullet. Just an FYI, spurs are not always a defining factor in sexing your birds. Some females have spurs and spurs generally do not show up until after you can visually sex your males from your females.

That being said, she looks very pretty in her pen! Congrats on your flock!

Thanks to both of you! Those tail feathers really frightened me!

As for the breed, I was told they were Ameraucanas when I bought them. Goes to show you how ignorant I was.
