In a few weeks things should be more clear.I got these sliver lace Feb 23rd which were suppose to be pullets but I'm thinking the one with the stubby tail feathers is a roo??
Tail feather aren't good for determining sex. At this age it's mainly about the comb, wattles, thickness of legs, and feather pattern. The first one is the one I think is a roo, the other 3 have the same tail feathers.

Try again when they're 7 or 8 weeks.I thought I read some where that roo tail feathers develop slower the hens? #1 is the only one with short tail feathers, the other 3 tails are all the same.
Anything that is red, is a cockerel, at this ageAll 4 were pulled from a pullet bin, and I', pretty sure there's only one cockerel. The one I think is, has a short tail feathers, and wattles that are bigger then the other 3.
