It's confusing, what is the correct term ? What is the difference between dry hatch or dry incubation? I've seen blogs online that differentiate the terms but not sure what exactly the difference is... thanks in advance for any clarification.

They are two different things. A dry incubation refers to the time before lock down. If you live in an area with high humidity some people prefer not to add any extra moisture to the incubator =dry incubation. Dry hatch/hatching is when someone chooses to go into lock down without adding moisture at that time. Again this depends on the humidity you already have.

Thanks, sorry, for replying late,on vacation...is it usual to dry hatch? I assumed chicks needed higher humidity to soften the internal pip?
