Hi so this girl said that its bad to feed chicks over 10 weeks medicated chick starter feed and that it does not have enough nutrition. Is it safe to feed my teenage chicks medicated chick starter?

I have no idea what that girl is talking about but yes, you should be able to feed your teen chicks chick starter!Hi so this girl said that its bad to feed chicks over 10 weeks medicated chick starter feed and that it does not have enough nutrition. Oh thank god. I was kinda suspicious of this girl so I asked you guys.I have no idea what that girl is talking about but yes, you should be able to feed your teen chicks chick starter!
Well im glade to know that my chicks are okay. Hopefully medicated feeds okay.I feed all my chickens of all ages and genders organic starter/grower and I keep an extra feeder with oyster shells. I found the hens need the extra protein. I do not know if the medicated part is bad for them. I keep my chickens as organic as possible so I have never fed them medicated feed.
Oh okay thank you I will switch the teenager to flock raiser.I would probably not feed them the medicated feed for too much longer. Chick starter on its own is perfectly fine though.
Good im using purina.I read that after a month, they do not need the medicated and it serves no purpose, BUT it does not hurt them. And this was from a feed company. Actually, now thinking, was from Purina, I emailed them.
