Fortunately, when we got Hawk in February his old owners gave us the remainder of their box of Frontline, like 4 tubes, and I had 2 already, so at least I won't have to buy for the dogs till mid-summer but sheesh!

I don't know if it went up.. But I always find it expensive. Also heartgaurd...I've heard people on hear say they pay 5 bucks a month for it. I have three large dogs.. for a summer's worth of heartworm preventitive for one, costs me 500.00.

I know our money is different...but $500? Come on, it breaks the bank being a responsible pet owner. I am glad I found the thread on Ivermectin and heartworm.

Ebay - - I buy all my Frontline Plus for my dogs there - - - I have 2 40lb dogs and buy the one for 80 pounders and split it - you might want to check it out

Frontline quit working on my dogs. I think the local fleas and ticks are immune to it. I switched to Advantage last year and was pleased. We were flea free all last summer. I haven't checked on prices this year. It was already expensive.

if it has gone up again.

Tala- have you tried Jeffers online? Their prices are usually really good.

Bluhhh!! We usually spend around $300 - $400 a summer for the two dogs and the cat. That's Frontline and Heartgard. Last year I don't think Frontline was working nearly so well. We may change this year to see if another flea product will do us better.

Ok...that just got printed! You can bet we'll be buying a box of the large dog stuff this year! Now....where to locate a syringe with an actual needle in it....

$5 a month is about what I pay for the Iverhart Plus.

We get full needles - syringe with needle attached at the farmer's co-op.

That's taking a chance that it wasn't manufactured in the US; i.e., alot of stuff in it that wouldn't pass inspection here in the states.
We are using Iverhart Plus for heartworms and Comfortis for the fleas (dogs). Love the Comfortis, but it's a bit pricey.
