And around there vent it is gross looking and matted down, I put this mite dust on them so hopefully it kills them if that is what it is. today it looks somewhat better, but does anyone have any ideas on what it might be? PLEASE HELP!

What kind of pesticide dod you put on them. I have noticed a quickly growing problem with mine. I was thinking dusting them with sevin dust. Any known issues with that or is there something beter?

Sevin is good for dusting them if they have mites or lice. It's also good for dusting the coop...or you could get the liquid and use a sprayer to better get down in the cracks.

I found that sevin works the best for me. They make it in liquid form??

Oh, I didn't know that, haha. Is it the same as the powder and you spray it on the chickens? Or do I use it for something else??

I dont recommend spraying liquid sevin on chickens, it is concentrated and if you get the mixture wrong, you'll have some sick birds on your hands.
