Is it normal for a Jersey Giant Hen to have huge wattles?

Mine was born around June or July. She has hen feathering, but isn't laying. I know they are slow to mature, but the wattles are looking really big. Is it normal?

I don't see sickles or hackles, so I'd say she's getting mature and ready to lay.

Well its about time! LOL. I just needed an outside opinion, strange things happen to me all the time so I had to be sure "he" hadn't been masquerading as a "She" for all this time. I sure hope she's about ready to lay. They lay white eggs right?

Its between 55 and 60 degrees here. It poured rain until about mid day yesterday. So instead of a snowy christmas I had a rainy one! I didn't mind though, I love the rain.

They lay big brown eggs. That one looks just like my 3 girls.

The hens will have much larger wattles than other hens. The Giant hens are beautiful! We love ours !
