Is it ok

I want to know is it ok if i leave say 2-3 chickens in a coop and never let them out. OK of coarse that is cruel well i think it is and i won't do that but i just want to know. Or even if i let them out a few hours a day.

It is not cruel if they have a draft free house and penned in small yard. You do not have to let your chicken wander around in your yard freely.

If I figured right thats about 5.5ft x 2.5ft that is just over 4.5 ft per bird(3birds) wich would be fine. Thats If I figured right. Not sue about the MM to FT conversions.

So you think 3 birds would be good, that's great i was thinking of 2-3 birds

Sounds good 3 birds will probaly be the max Id try if youre going to keep them up all the time.

I will look to expand it later on, just 2-3 for now.
Would you have any tips on what size water and feeder to buy, thanks so much for your help

For 2 or 3 Id go with at least a gallon size feeder and waterer.

I thought around 2 gallon, water and about 3 gallon feeder.
