In my experience as soon as breeding season comes they become more aggressive. I was worried about my ducks and so I bought a rouen pair and sold my two pekin drakes. One was always more dominant then the other and they were rough with the girls. I find that one drake to three ducks is best. You can wait and see, perhaps yours won't be too bad...but I know I'm happier and so are the ducks [IMG]

"Over-kept" hahaha! I'm guessing that her dance card will be full.

I am not sure and very inexperienced, but I have heard that you should have 2 hen per rooster at the least. I have only read one book and do not have any roosters, so I have not been in that situation. Hope that this helps.

Quote:You need to get eight more females, as the ratio should be one drake to three, two females at the least.
