We have a lovely Wyandotte cockerel (Tigger) and a lovely little booted bantam (Leo) and shes gone off and sat on a secret nest we knew nothing about, shes broody so i either want to leave her or get her some different eggs but i need to know first if those eggs will hatch? they have mated so the eggs will be fertile but is it genetically possible as he is bigger than her for the eggs to develop and hatch?

- Dont worry i know the dangers of big cockerels and little hens - we had a far bigger cockerel who we have re homed as he was hurting poor leo

THANKS EVERYONE

Sure it can. We have a oeg hen that was surfed by a barred rock roo. Her kid looks just like her but with barred spots. Sort of odd looking but it works.

Thanks so much :) my dad was trying to convince me it wouldnt work so i was getting a little confused to replace the eggs or not.
THANKS FOR THAT
