Is Lucy a girl or boy? She's about 8 weeks now.

    Everyone thinks Lucy is a boy,I would like get your opinions. She is a Cochin/Brahma mix.

    That's good, your the only person who said girl. I don't know how I can part with her if she turns out to be a boy [​IMG]

    Sorry, but I think you have a Lucky, not a Lucy. At 8 weeks, you rarely see really big red comb and wattles on the pullets of those breeds.

    I'm guessing boy. I have a cochin and a brahma who are 11 weeks and their comb is much smaller and the one has the very lightest pink on the edge. Yours is much bigger and much more red. Just wait and see. My friends roo were crowing by twelve weeks. She also had a hen with a very large comb and she KNEW it was a roo. Then one day it layed an egg. I have seen this hen and her comb definately looks rooish to me too.
