Hi there! I'm new to raising chickens and I would love your help here.

Lucy is 5 weeks old. She's always been bigger than her siblings. Recently, she flared her neck feathers at a siblings which I haven't seen the others do yet. I've heard hens do this too though. She has a pretty reserved / shy personality, but is not more nervous, bold or aggressive than the others. No bumps on the backs of her legs, in case that's helpful to know. The last pic. is of her siblings for comparison.

The complete eyeliner and lack of color in comb and wattles is what I was looking at to say pullet. But I've been wrong many a time. My 7 year old rooster was a pullet until he was 3 months old. :lau

Oh no, how funny!

Yeah, she has a slightly pinker comb than her siblings, but not by much. She's the only one with the complete eyeliner.

Thanks for your guess!

That’s kind of confusing. The face looks like a pullet, but the feathering looks kind of like a cockerel. However, I’ve seen both thing prove to be different. Had 2 EE’s. One of them had reddish coloring on the wings and back since 1 month. The other looked completely different. Didn’t realize the 2nd bird ‘Emily’ was ‘Emil’ until he strutted back and forth and attempted to crow in my face. Literally.
