Is medicated chick starter safe to give to coturnix quail?

A friend has coturnix quail that are suspected of having Coccidiosis. Is it safe to give them medicated chick feed that has Amprolium in it?

I never gave mine chick starter because they need higher protein feed. I gave mine corid water and kept feeding Purina game bird starter.

This idea is to treat the quail for the coccidiosis for a short time only-the quail are adults. I've recommended the Corid powder.
