Yes, that bird is male. Just compare those feathers on the back to the back feathers of the Silver Lace next to him. Obvious difference.

Thank you. I've been suspicious of this one for awhile because the comb and wattles have always been much larger and redder than the SLW and they are the same age. The change in feathers over the past couple of weeks has increased my suspicion. We have one known roo in the bunch who crows already. I swore the other day, I heard another one crowing with him. I really have not wanted it to be true bc we can not keep roosters in our area. I love both these roosters and now I have to find them a new home.
