I read chicks were supposed to have their crops emptied by morning. This morning i felt her crop and it still has food inside. Is my silkie okay? She hasnt been eating anything but yogurt and chick feed.

Is she eating during the night in the brooder. If not, she should have an empty crop. They need chick sized grit if eating anything other than chick feed, such a grass or treats. Long grass strands can sometimes get stuck in the crop and cause impacted crop.

Yea, im guessing she hasss been eating during the night in the brooder. WIth the lamp turned on, they tend to wake up a lot.
