Is my bantam silkie a roo or hen?

Our local feed store always has roosters and we ended up taking 2 bantams home. The one bantam is definitely a rooster- and doing great with our hens. The other, a black silkie, has never shown any rooster traits and I'm wondering if he is really a she. Reasons: we have 15 hens and twice I have collected 16 eggs. One of the eggs is exceptionally small- could one of the chickens lay 2 eggs a day or is it from my silkie "rooster"? Also, I have noticed the rooster mounting the silkie a few times- at first i thought it was a dominance thing and since the silkie is so quiet and submissive I assumed it was just that. He/she is very quiet, never a peep (no pun intended [IMG] ) always just going with the flow. Thanks!

Can't see good on my cell and I'm not good at guessing but if the comb is as big as it looks to my I'd guess roo. How old is he?

Thanks for the reply- we've had him about a month and I suspect he was about 4-5 months then. Not really sure, though.

Well hopefully someone with more experience will answer soon. Please don't take my answer as fact. I'm still learning myself. Pretty silkie though
