This was a buff ophrington pullet according to the chicken "expert" at the farm store. My 3 Cornish crosses are actually ideal 236. ( identified on another post ). Anyway this mystery chick is very sweet but if it's a broiler its going into the pot. [IMG]

They are in a much larger brooder now.

    How old is the chick?

Right now, it looks very large for apparent young chick age, and getting too much red on wings. I'm thinking broiler not Orp.

It looks too red to be a Buff Orpington, in my opinion. Could be a red broiler.

I am not sure if it's a buff Orpington or broiler.
But I think it's legs are slightly thick?
    Like a broiler?

Here she is at 3 weeks. The ideal 236 is only slightly smaller. She weighs 8 oz. And getting Colombian feather pattern.[IMG]

Really hoping she is a bird that I can raise without broiler issues.

Internet photos have me convinced Gordo is a red broiler. Hope I'm wrong. Researching the breed.
