Hello! I recently got my first set of chicks, four in total. They're all very active, happily eating, and happily drinking. The chicks love to be held along with eating out of my hand. When I hold my chicks, they always nestle around my neck and in my hair before quickly falling asleep. However, when the chicks are around my ears, I hear clicking noises. They don't appear to be sick, so I don't assume they are. I've had gerbils make the same clicking noise too, but it was because of a respiratory infection, yet the gerbils showed signs of being sick unlike the chicks. I know chickens can purr but do chicks purr as well? Is the chick too cold? Is it a breathing problem? Thank you so much for reading!
