Is my chicken laying an egg right now?? Picture.

She's been sitting in her nest for almost an hour. Keeps raising her butt up but nothing yet. Her face doesn't seem as red as it could be (buff Orpington). Is she laying an egg literally right now or is this her preparing to lay an egg shortly within the next few days?? How long does it take a pullet to lay her first egg, like minute wise??

She laid her first egg!!!! Took a couple hours but she got it done!! Now another one is in the box looking ready to lay also it seems!!!

YAY! Congrats! I have two 22 week old Buffs that haven't laid yet, though neither of mine have the wattles that yours does... A few more weeks I guess

My girls are lazy and spoiled so no eggs yet. Some have all the signs of laying but still no eggs even after 2 weeks.
