Is my cracked egg rotten?

I had 3 eggs in my dome incubator. One I candled, and the chick had died, the other 2 had blue shells, and I couldn't see anything. They were just black, so I kept trying with them. One of them hatched on day 18, and the chick is doing wonderful:D. The other is on day 21 now, and I just noticed small cracks on the skinny end of the shell. Is it rotten, or is there still a chance that it will hatch:/? Do rotten eggs explode like I read somewhere? Thanks so much for answering.

Yep they can explode but don't often. If there is a small crack in it and it is rotten you could smell it when you tried to candle it. There is always a chance for it to hatch if you don't smell it going bad, I have had them hatch anywhere from 19 days to 26 days depending on the egg and temp fluctuations. Good luck with the chicks.

I don't know about your egg, but I will say to trust your nose. If you can't smell it, then it is probably OK.
