I have some Ducks 3 females and 1 drake. My female clover has a nest and I picked up her egg and took them inside. I was curious and put them under my flashlight on my phone and one had this spot in it. I think it may be fertilized but it's probably not. But I would like feedback in case I'm wrong. And I have no experience with telling if eggs are fertilized or not so thanks in advance.[IMG][/IMG]

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! The dark spot in your egg looks to be the embryo. Do you see any veins spreading out from that dark spot? I'm sure you would like to pop by the duck section too ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks
I'm sure the keepers there would be able to help you too.

Good luck and enjoy your time here on BYC :frow

Hello there and welcome to Backyard chickens! I honestly have no experience incubating or candling eggs, so I will leave that to the experts, but I hope you enjoy BYC and get an answer to your question!
