Is my goat Betulia pregnant or not? SEE TWO PICTURES

You are very right - tadpole98-... she's got double teats, hmmm, actually I think triple teats... She's a rescue so when I got her I kind of did not mind. I have read that could be troublesome, but some other people I know say it does not matter. If she's a milker, she'll milk find w/ doubles.

I am no breed expert and people where I got her from had no idea about her breed. I just think she looks nubian and is very vocal so acts ver nubianish

...

Anyways, might as well be a very mixed breed... I have no way to know.

I'd love to see your baby goats when they arrive (please post pics)... I will be photo shooting Betulia soon so you can examine her and give me your guesses. THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!

Just wanted to add. If you go to biotracking.com you can draw blood from your goat and send it in. It's cheap, fast and you will know for sure. Drawing blood is not that difficult either. I have had does that I would have sworn were pregnant and they were just fat. Good luck!

Yeap, she might just be fat... I think I'll just wait and see for this one time. I'll just keep a close look around the date she's supposedly due and check her ligaments and stuff... you know just in case.

The info regarding the pregnancy test is really good so I will definetely keep for use in the future. As a first timer I feel I'd have to find a Vet to draw the sample and teach me how to do it... This time around I may be too close to the due date to get a timely response, but I will certainly use it in the future.

Thanks a lot

These are todays pics... what do you think? Fat (Hay Belly) or Preggers? IIIIFFFFF... she was... she'd be due in 4-5 weeks.

not so sure now... can u feel movement? try on her right side since her rumen is on the left... ... maybe u should place bets... she just looks nice and round... hmmm.... btw, she doesnt seem too nubian to me (did u say she was part nubiean? cant remember), she has an alpine stripe on her back, but i only know what nubian/anglo and cypriot, breeds look like here, not overseas (america)... here, anything with a stripe on her back, or black soxs on her feet, has some alpine blood in her. we dont have too many different breeds here.

Well at his point I don't know what she is.... I have been told she has some boer in her (cause the double teats), but she looks very nubianish to me... She's definetely a mixed breed. We are not in the US but in an island in the Caribbean and we tend to have lots of mixed breeds here... When I checked on the internet I just thought she looked like a lot of nubians I was seeing. Anyways you are right about her lines

... so I just don't know.

Anyhow I can't feel ANYTHING moving like a baby (meaning a hoof, leg etc..) I have felt some movement as a wave in a very slow way (pretty much like you feel when you feel a baby's back or head move in a human belly). I felt that twice right underneath her belly (not on the sides)...

I am starting to thinks she's just fat.

if u can time those waves, or put your ear to her stomach on the left side, and the waves are at regular intervals, then that is her rumen which has jsut developed nicely; since your in the caribean not sure when will she cycle again? here our anglo/nubian and baladi (local) goats go every 21 days from august til october; because the best natural pasture is after the rainy season which starts only really in november/december if at all, and finishes by february, if there was a season, so that the goats have pasture just when they are kidding... after that, its just forage (unless they are given food which nowadasy almost everyone does). we are in the middle east (israel).

Nok13, thank you so much for sharing these pictures. Never thought I'd be getting coaching from somebody in Israel!!! That is just amazing. May I ask what job did you do in these picstures. You sure seem very happy ...

I guess I can say my experience is the exact opposite. I wore high heels and was all buttoned up working as an executive and then decided to home school my kids and live the country live... living of our backyards. This takes a lot of learning and time and we have had to make huge sacrifices. I feel I still have tons to learn... so this information that you give and your advice is very well appreciated.

I am pretty sure that whilst you miss your previous job you are making a difference and a positive impact right where you are now. The corporate / executive world is pretty much like a farm... only cleaner.
