Is my guppie "Guapo" a pregnant "Guapa"?

Thanks wolf, I will check on that.

The tanks at PETCO are all messed up and their could've been a female mixed in with the males. The tail on Suave (Guapo's guppy buddy) is larger and Guapo's is more small and rounded...

is suave just as colorful or rather plain? Most of the time in the animal world females are plainer and duller in color.

Suave is a bright shiny blue. The fin is hard to tell... the little bugger moves so fast. My sister is asking my adult cousin who used to raise guppies and had pregnant ones. Ill see what she says and even if Guapwhatever is a guy I know what I'm buying next.

Ok... I don't really need/want two guys... Now I need to sneak into Petco and see if the mean lady will let me go over my first starting limit.. she's making me wait FOUR weeks before I'm allowed more.

OK see the second fin under him? This shows he's a male.

What mean lady? You may want to keep 2 males. I used to have 2 males for every 3 femals way back when I raised fish.

It's smart to do that if this is a new tank and you're cycling it with the fish in. You don't want to add too many fish at once.

Do you have a more clear shot of the black guppy?

I bred guppies (and other fish) for a long time and would sell them to pet stores for money or store credit. You'd be surprised how dark and colorful female guppies can get. I did have black females that were as dark as the guppy in the first photo.
