Is my hen really a rooster?

A few months ago my little Rhode Island Red hen passed away, leaving my other hen alone and lonely. We decided to get two chicks in order to keep her company, and after being assured they were both hens, we took them home and bonded.

Well a few weeks ago one of the hens started "crowing". Not quite a cock a doodle doo, but similar. We looked it up and found that some hens can crow too, so we let it be. But now she/he is REALLY crowing and since we live in a suburban area, we cannot have a rooster so we need to know. We are hardly chicken experts so maybe one of you can identify cluck cluck for us. Obviously neither of them have began laying eggs yet.

He is a rooster. He has obvious hackles and saddle feathers and the red shoulder splotches is what also tells you he is a rooster

    I'm pretty sure that's a rooster.

+4 with the hackle and saddle feathers. He looks nice; too bad you can't keep him.
