Hi all! Went out this AM to let the chickens free from the coop and I think I heard our brahma named Betsy crow. We are new to the chicken raising and so I wanted to know if anyone else could tell me if she is in fact a rooster. The crow wasn't a perfect crow, but like a frog-ish like crow. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi there! Yes, he's a rooster. That tail and those hackle and saddle feathers are a dead giveaway.

Most definitely :) I had one once and they are gentle giants, and so beautiful! If they allow roosters where you live you should keep him! He'll protect the hens for you.
