Is my rooster an ameraucana?

    I am hatching some eggs from him and my BR and other brown egg layers will the chicks be olive eggers?

    He might be an Easter Egger, but he is not an Ameraucana. Unless you know what color egg he hatched from, there is no way to know what color egg the offspring might lay.... [​IMG]

    No, and he doesn't even really look like your typical ee (pea comb at least). To get olive eggers I believe the hens would have to be wellies or marens, or some other dark egg layer (if he did carry the blue egg gene)

    He's an Easter Egger.

    Also, you're not going to get Olive Eggers. Olive Eggers are from blue/green x DARK brown egg layers. [​IMG]



    And with that modified pea comb I'd say you'll get mostly brown egg layers from the offspring.
