Is my sex link a rooster?

I have a "black sex link" pullet that looks like she may be a rooster. "Hes" not barred like a black sex link male usually is. So just looking for thoughts. Thank you.

Black sex link cockerels will always be Barred. So if it is a BSL it would have to be a pullet. BUT that’s a pretty large comb. How old is that bird and where did it come from?

so you have a cockerel. But it is not a BSL. Not sure what breed(s) it is. Sorry this happened to you.

agree with Alleys Chicks - you may want to inform them that the BSL was something else and is a cockerel to boot.

I have the same exact issue... it seems the latest labeled as BSL are not sex linked at all..

Wow, that’s a big screw up on the part of the hatchery to claim sex-link when there is no sex-link!

This is my “BSL pullet” At 7 weeks old. HUGE mistake. Everyone was telling me how if they are BSL there’s no way this is a cockerel.. well there’s no way this is a pullet At 7 weeks old

I’m not personally upset as I can have as many roosters as I want and have enough hens for 4-5 Roos but I def wasn’t anticipating any in this group. I’m very curious to see what they’ll look like though!
