Is my silkie a hen or a rooster

This is my Silkie Eco we got her/him about 5 weeks ago and the previous owner said she was about 4 to 6 weeks old. So she could be anywhere from about 9 to 11 weeks. Could someone tell me about how old she is. Also if she is a rooster or not, she almost attempted at crowing but it wasn't a full crow, and that was last week. She hasn't done it since or made any similar noise.

Yes, post updated photos in another few weeks. Could you get a better photo of his/her comb - that might help. Silkies are notoriously hard to sex at such a young age.

After. I guess she would be very young to lay an egg. Try hovering one hand over her back like you are going to grab her, but stop short before you touch her/him. If she squats when you o than then that means she will lay and egg soon or has already started laying. Good luck!
