Is my silkies male or female please help

    I have two silkies about 11 weeks old any idea if they are male or female

    The tan one looks like it might have some saddle feathers which is a sign of it being a rooster. Here is a picture of saddle feathers on male and females.

    Silkies can be difficult to sex. Some can be obvious early on but I think more times than not that is not often the case. I was able to know that my silkie was a male from early on. He started crowing at 7 1/2 weeks. I don't think that is common tho lol. The buff doesn't seem to have much of a comb. The white one definitely has a decent little comb going on. I don't see much in the way of wattles from the pics you took. If I had to take a guess, personally, I think you have a pair but I am by no means an expert on the breed and could be wrong. I'd keep an eye on the white one as it develops more tho. Is just my opinion. Such cutie pies!
