    hi all [IMG]

    this is Olivia.......

she is about 30 weeks old now and has never laid an egg [IMG]

while making scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning i noticed 3 eggs had white circles in them :| i have never seen them in any of our white sussex eggs before and i am baffled.

here is one of the eggs......

    [IMG] [IMG]

sorry about the poor picture quality i took them on my phone, the white spots are much more defined than the pics make them look.

could olivia be the one fetilizing these eggs? could she be a cockerel?
she has never crowed.......but shes never laid an eggs either.

any opinions would be great........ confused [IMG]

    many thanks

Quote:Round white SPOTS are on all egg yolks. A white BULLS-EYE is the sign of a fertilized egg. Like a white circle surrounding a small bit of the yellow/orange yolk.

And Olivia is a girl. ;-)

Its a girl! Very cute [IMG] And the white circles are normal. With fresh, really yellow (almost orange) yolks they really stand out. [IMG]

She looks sort of like my Olivia, who died a few months ago, poufy head and all:
