Thank you! I’m so relieved!!! I already have a rooster, and only the 4 girls. She's a pullet and a real beauty - about to start laying.
You aren't showing the TRUE gender telling part which is saddle feathers on most breeds by the stated age..I have four Easter Eggers and was fairly sure they were all girls, but this week JoDee started looking different. Chickens don't read our rule books or care what they say!should have started crowing.

Thank you!!! I love my girls and I’m so relieved!!!I just have to say, those are great pictures! She looks like she’s about to lay because at that age she should have saddle feathers and sickle feathers and should have started crowing.

According to the development seen along with stated age.. a boy would have started looking like that closer to 8 weeks and I'm going with pullet.. getting her hormones.. *may* start laying before her sisters.. about another month-ish in my experience.

My friend had a rooster not crow until 18 months, and has several older hens with full length spurs. One of my hens started crowing when she was two years old.. yes she was the head hen but no it wasn't due to the absence of a rooster... AND some roosters like Seabright are hen feathered roosters!![]()
Her skinny legs, her feather coloring.. they all say lovely pullet like her blue based sister next to her.i was focusing on the comb, I guess... View attachment 2277738
