I'm afraid that our 17 week old Buff Orpington may be a boy. She's far bigger than the Welsummer and Australorp we got at the same time. I got really suspicious when her tail started to curve; now I'm afraid I see saddle feathers. Is it all in my head? Is she just a big boned girl?

Bummer! My kids will be so sad; she's their favorite. If anybody knows someone in the Denver area who would take him, he's gotta go.

I think you have a "Westley" (he was a farm boy, poor and perfect) instead of a "Princess Buttercup."

  7. Totally a rooster.. The first things i noticed a difference in my orpingtons was a slight color difference, but the legs and toes for sure.. His legs should be very thick and his middle toe is really long...

I put my unwanted rooster on Craigslist and got several interested replys. Best of luck.
