Hi all! I'm new to chicken owning and to BYC; thank you for all of your collective guidance! You've answered so many of my questions and concerns through my searching the forums.

We think the woman we got our babies from sexed our little 'lady' wrong. Thoughts, opinions? 'She' is also crowing along with our other chicken that we believe to be a rooster as well. Neil Young Jr. has more obvious male feathering. Cocottte however is big, round and heavy, so she could be a hen right? 'She' is some variety of Orpington.

Sorry but by the red big comb and curled tail feathers and crowing its most likely a rooster.

    Thank you all so much!

Now I'm thinking our other lady may also be a rooster. Thoughts?

We're devastated as this means we'll have to re-home all of them due to city ordinances.
