I hope she is a girl [IMG] This chick has been my favorite since day one, but looks different than my other chicks. (thicker legs, longer tail feathers, the red comb developing) She/he is an Araucana and is about 5-6 weeks old.

my gut feeling would be that she is a hen....but then again I've been asking the same questions about my flock! [IMG]

    Let's just all hope it's a pullet.

But, indeed, the jury is still out on this one for me.

I believe your chick is a roo. I may be wrong but I have 4 chicks the same age and my Georgia Peach turned out to be my Georgie Boy. His comb and legs (he looks like a road runner) started VERY early, at 3-4 wks so I have known for a few weeks now.

I'm guessing you have one handsome little EE fella there! He's gonna be a gorgeous roo someday [IMG]

That red of a comb that young, I'd say a rooster but does look like he'll be very handsome [IMG]

I have to say roo too. Too red and wide of a comb for that age. I learned that the hard way when my little "hen" started crowing!
