Is she a rooster?

    Soooo, I was wondering what the first sign would be if my "pullet" were a roo. Its a gold laced wyandotte and its tail feathers are sticking up more and are longer. 3 months old. No crowing yet. The other "ladies" do not look like this. I'll try to get a picture up later. Not a big deal b/c the place I got them from will exchange a mistaken pullet/rooster for another pullet. [​IMG]
     
  2. At 12 weeks, you should be able to tell for sure. Look for a larger, redder comb and curved tail feathers. If 'one of these things is not like the others' it's 99% a roo.

    Yup, She was a He. Traded him in for a partridge rock pullet named Abby. [​IMG]

    Oh sorry but, at least they took him back for a trade in.

    Its ok, I like the new one...Now I have to wait for the older ladies to start being nice to her. lol.
