Is she ready to join the coop girls?

I have a 6 week old RIR/Americauna mix hen, she is in the brooder still with 2 week old chicks and the recent addition of 3 day old chicks. She pecks at the younger ones when I am around. Is she ready to take on the flock??

I have chicks that are close to that age, and I wouldn't through them in with the full grown hens yet. She's the only one in that age group? I wonder if you could check craigslist, or something, and get her a buddy so that she isn't living alone. You're right to want to get her away from the younger babies. Hope this helped.

Thank you so much! great idea, we do have 2 white leghorns that are 10 weeks now and have been in the coop for 2 weeks. But that might not be close enough to her age, it seems like it in human terms but for chickens I have noticed they grow sooo fast!!

I just moved my 10 week old pullets in with the hens and they are doing great.
