I got my first Dominique beginning of May, her wings are feathering out all black. shouldn't she be feathering out barred? I'm starting to suspect that she is perhaps a Jersey Giant?

Unfortunately, there is no photo showing and we would need to actually see the bird to give a definite answer - but, yes, a true dominique should be barred rather than having solid plumage.
