First time chicken mama…

This gal is 14 weeks backyard mix and this week her face has started to turn red!

Is she starting to get ready for egg laying?

It looks like she's starting to get bit more mature, but I think it will still be a while till she's a actually laying.
They can get a bit red and then stay like that for a while before really growing that comb!
I think the youngest pullets start laying is around 18 weeks usually,
although mine tend to be more around 20 to 25 weeks.
