    I have 3 Cochin bantams that look different from the others...their feathers are all "messed up" Are they frizzled? they will be 3 weeks tomorrow.

    Hmmm they don't look like they are all flipping up. My two are Frizzles. You might want to take a look to compare.

    I am thinking maybe that the gene the got is not as strong as some chicks with the frizzle gene.

    I wonder why they look so much different from the others if they are not frizzles...all the others have smooth feathers

    It's possible they could be Frizzled. Mumble my black cochin like your first looked similar and then at about maybe 3 weeks the feathers really started curling.

    I would be really nice to have a frizzled I think they are the cutest little things :) BTW I got the from the "Assorted Bantams Bin" at Tractor supply

    Well my two Frizzles are the sweetest little things ever. I love all my birds but those two are my favorite. They call for me, it's rather funny, until I take them out and they hop up on my shoulders and go to sleep. LOL

    lol my Rhode Island Reds do that too...it is so funny and cute :)
