Do you want to pointy part of the egg pointing down or up in the carton?
Pointy down, I've always been told.
I was told pointy end up. Is this gonna end up like Gulivers Travels? If so I gues this makes me a little endian.
I never even thought to ask that question. I've always seen them pointy up from store bought cartons. I sure hope more people chime in. I'm curious to know which way people do it and why.
FOR INCUBATION: Pointy side down, large side up. Air cell is up.
FOR EATING EGGS: Large side down, pointy side up. Suppose to make them last longer.
ok so im going to go take a look in my egg carton from the store...
mine are pointy side down.....these eggs are from a store so i would believe pointy side down
Just put them all in a basket that will end the debate! Its too darn hot to be using the brain today, only enough energy to make sure the girls are cool, the dog is cool and me is cool in that order.
Quote:Maybe I just always assumed they were pointy side up. And I don't have any to check now.
All retail shell eggs are stored and packed pointy end down. The packing machines are even setup to make sure that happens.
