Is there a chance I could get two females in a straight run?

I'm getting my chicks at murray mcmurray hatchery and all of the other ones are sexed except the two silkies I am gonna get, is there a place I could get females instead of a straight run?
pls name hatcheries you trust that have silkies.
if the one you know of is out, do you guys think I could be lucky and get two females in a straight run? I need to know the percentages...

Most times in straight runs I get 60-70% roos and 40-30% hens

You might, or not. Order as many as you can, and pick the keepers, and move the others on. Or accept that you will get two cockerels, and have a plan for them.

I would think that the odds of 2 SR birds being pullets are about as good as the chances of winning the lottery. That ALL of the Silkies sold by MMc are SR would increase the chances. If I wanted to be ensured to end up with 2 Silkie pullets, I would order 6.

IMO, the odds of success (getting pullets) are greatly decreased if you order SR of a breed which is also sold sexed. IMO, a lot of cockrels are tossed into the SR bin instead of being killed.

I bought 5 straight run Spitzhaubens at Cackle hatchery and ended up with 2 pullets. I sold 2 of the cockerels, and we have a happy little family.

As GC_Raptor mentions, MPC does offer sexed silkies. It's an additional $12 per chick, for a total of $16 each.

If you do go through McMurrary I'd order at least 6 to make sure you get 2 pullets.
