is there a hatchery that sells only a few gamble/california quail chic

    because all of them sell like 60 for 200.00!!!! i only need like ten....or a few adults that aren't 60 for male and 80 for female [​IMG]

    none that I know of, and the eggs to hatch for each speces is considerably more expensive than coturnix or bob white

    I've noticed that too. I would LOVE to get some, but what in the world would I do with them all!? Seems like all gamebird places will only sell in big numbers. I just want a few different quail and pheasants. Heck, even the really ornamental pheasants in the hatcheries I've seen, go in big numbers like that! I'm like you, I just want 10 or so, not 30, 40, 50, or 60. Or 100 babies [​IMG]

    would STD hatchery sized cochins incubate some california eggs from ebay....or are the eggs too small and the bird too big [​IMG]
