From table scraps to raw veggies, is there a list floating around of what not to feed chickens? Like what is toxic or causes the runs?

also, I know my chickens love watermelon, but what else do they love?

yes, NIfty has one right here on this site. Look under "Learning Center" at the very top of the page, mine is in blue. I know green potato peels is one, there are not very many though. HEnZ

Quote:Ditto x2. Also, avacados....any parts...all poison. I always worry about the mushrooms in the garden. I try to cut them out when ever they pop up, but I don't always get to them before the girls do.

Chickens are like having feathered garbage disposals on legs. I've never seen them not eat anything I had eaten but couldn't finish. Some interesting threads saying never let your chickens eat earthworms due to parasites. Well lets just put them in a cage. never let their feet hit the grass or let them scratch.
