Is there a way to know which egg came from specific hens?

Is there something you can put on their feathers that will mark the eggs when they come out? Or some other trick? I'd like to know which eggs came from what hens.

I've never tried it, but I've read on here that you can dab food coloring on their vents, a different color for each hen, and the color will rub off on the eggs...

You can trapnest.

A trapnest is a nestbox with a door that closes after the hen is inside.
You then let the hen out, leaving her egg, and reset the door.
It's foolproof, however you must be able to monitor the situation frequently.
