is there such a think as a dust bath drunken stupor???

    I realize that they look like their having a seizure when theyre in there...but i swear one of my chicks takes a while to "snap out of" her dust bath frame of mind even after she gets out. She gets out and its almost like shes so relaxed it takes her a few minutes to get her sea legs again. Worries me to death every time..but every time shes ok. *** is that??

    It's sort of like a dustbath 'high' - I have observed the same thing.

  4. Yes totally normal - I think of it as a "fugue" though for some reason lol. Kind of the same as when they're broody or concentrating on laying eggs. It's all serious business to them!
