I was just wondering if this chick is a black australorp? I'm thinking pullet on this one but not real sure. He/she is 8 weeks old now.
I have some more pictures of my other chicks the same age I want to get some opinions on. I'm thinking right now I might just have all pullets. You all are going think I'm crazy but I am really wanting at least one rooster.

So can anyone tell me is Sarah is a black australorp and if she is a pullet or not?

Edit to add: This is picture of the same chick around 4 weeks old.

Tina Dear,
I think you have a cockerel there. Look on the bottom of the feet, if they are pinkish white, you got an Australorp cockerel. There is too much comb there to be a pullet at that age, along with the redness in it.

I will try go catch him here in a few mins and check.

I went out and checked bottom of his feet looked kind of pinkish to me. So I guess it is a rooster?

Pinkish feet mean Australorp. If he would have had yellowish feet, then you would have a Jersey Giant on your hands. I have to agree that it is looking very rooish.
