Is this a BR or a Dominique? Can you tell this early?

My husband came home from a bedding run today with this lil lady. The pro at the shop said RIR, so i narrowed it down to a BR or Dominique. Can you tell the difference this early? Im leaning dominique. Or i could be wrong.

I’m really trying to see but Dominique chickens have rose combs and barred rocks have single. It looks like a rose comb to me so... Dominique.

I'm seeing a single comb, so I say BR.

You won't know for sure until it's a little older.

It has a single comb, so it may be a barred rock or maybe a cuckoo Marans. But not a Dominique.

The strange thing is that there is little to no barring in its plumage-- it could be some type of hatchery hybrid, too.

I think its a dominique because only very few dark chicks have black bellies and white butts. I like mystery chicks. We'll see its tiny still.

Single comb rules out Dominique. It's hard to tell on the leg color. If it's white/pink with a grey wash over the front then it's a hatchery-quality Cuckoo Marans. If it's yellow with the grey wash, then it's hatchery-quality Barred Rock.

It actually looks like a cuckoo marans to me.
